Abstract

In January 2007, Pam and Brian, accompanied by their trusty companion Mac the travel Gnome, continued the IRMACS quest to find international collaborators. Sparked by an invitation from Irith Ben-Arroyo Hartman, the Scientific Manager from the CRI Institute of Interdisciplinary Applications of Computer Science at the University of Haifa in Israel, Pam and Brian visited research institutions in Israel, Italy, and the UK. In this talk, they will describe the interdisciplinary research centres that they visited and briefly highlight some of the research that is being carried out at each institution. Visiting, Israel, Italy, and the UK was not only an excellent collaborative opportunity for IRMACS, but also an amazing cultural experience - and they have the pictures to prove it. Come along and enjoy the tour ...
