Language Production Lab

The Language Production Lab was founded in 2004 by SFU Linguistics and Cognitive Science Professor Emeritus John Alderete. The lab engaged in theoretical analysis of language, linguistic fieldwork, psycholinguistic experimentation and computational modeling of language to examine how complex linguistic systems are learned and used in speech. The Language Production Lab closed in 2025 after Prof. Alderete retired from Simon Fraser University. Currently, Dr. Alderete is continuing to publish research independently and his recent publications can be viewed here.
