CREATING A FLOURISHING ROAD MAP AT THE UNIVERSITY AND BEYOND

"When we bring our full selves to the university, we also bring our worldview, research, pedagogy and the arts. And then students from all backgrounds get to engage with and learn from Black perspectives and intellectual traditions."

On November 18, SFU signed the Scarborough Charter, vowing to redress anti-Black racism and foster Black inclusion at the university. Read more about the impact this charter will have at SFU in a reflection from June Francis, SFU's special advisor to the president on anti-racism.

SUPPORT COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY FLOODING

We are now accepting donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries and new, unwrapped toys across all three campuses and libraries to support the BC Flood Relief efforts. Learn more about our growing group of contributing and collaborating partners and where you can drop off donations.

SFU INSTRUCTORS REFLECT ON THEIR RETURN TO THE CLASSROOM

While fall 2021 signified a return to familiar spaces, it also represented the need to navigate yet another transition. Explore the highlights, challenges and changes that five faculty members shared about their return to in-person instruction.

For the first episode of The Journey Here, host Steve Dooley sits down with SFU's President and Vice-Chancellor, Joy Johnson. Together, they discuss Joy's journey from nursing to research to now leading SFU—and all the adventures in between. Take a listen and read Steve's reflections on the inaugural episode.
