OPERATIONAL UPDATES

CONTINUING THE FIGHT AGAINST ANTI-BLACK RACISM

Earlier this week, a jury found Derek Chauvin guilty for the murder of George Floyd.

We acknowledge that the trial process has been difficult and emotional for many in our community, and particularly for Black faculty, staff and students. Please take care of yourselves during this time. Faculty and staff can access supports including SFU’s Employee and Family Assistance Program and Critical Incident Support.

In the wake of this verdict, the work of fighting anti-Black racism continues. If you are looking for ways to help, consider revisiting this article on resources and calls to action against anti-Black racism and violence.
