Operational Updates

New Features Now Available for SFU Zoom

SFU has released new features to enhance your Zoom experience. You can now permanently change your SFU Zoom account display name. This is a great way to include gender pronouns or a nickname for clearer communication with colleagues. Also, Zoom meetings for faculty and staff accounts can now be streamed directly to third party applications, such as YouTube and Facebook. As well, Cloud recording links are now password-protected to help with security.

Last Chance: Students can earn $1000 with their Work-Integrated Learning Experiences

Tomorrow is the last day students can apply for a grant and a professional development opportunity valued at $1000. Do you know a student who is currently registered in a Spring 2021 course or program that has a work-integrated learning component? Encourage them to apply.

Reminder to be aware of wildlife on Burnaby campus

Perched atop Burnaby Mountain, the Burnaby campus is home to a variety of wildlife including black bears, raccoons, deer, owls, coyotes and cougars where sightings are not uncommon. When visiting campus please be aware of your surroundings and follow these tips to help keep encounters positive and free from conflict.
