RETURN TO CAMPUS

VACCINATIONS AVAILABLE ON CAMPUS

Drop into Fraser Health pop-up clinics at Burnaby and Surrey campuses from August 27 to September 22. The clinics are open to anyone ages 12+ needing a first or second shot. No appointment or health number necessary.

RETURN TO CAMPUS INFO SESSION: HVAC SYSTEMS

Do you have questions about how ventilation plays a role in mitigating the spread of COVID-19? At this session you’ll learn about the role of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and how SFU Facilities Services is implementing specific measures to maintain safe indoor environments for return to campus in the fall.

This year we will be welcoming more new community members than ever before — including more than 40% of students, staff and faculty hired during the pandemic. To create an inviting and supportive environment, we are looking for volunteers to greet, provide wayfinding assistance and answer questions.

Thanks to everyone who joined yesterday's tour of the much-anticipated Student Union Building. Next week's Lunch, Discover + Connect event, on Wednesday, September 1, is a tour of the new stadium at the Burnaby campus. These events are a chance for SFU employees to reconnect with colleagues and get reacquainted.

Sdahl K’awaas (Lucy Bell) is the recipient of the 2021 Nora and Ted Sterling Prize in Support of Controversy for her bravery in calling out racism in the heritage field and advocating for museums to change and become anti-racist in an era of reconciliation.

The Sterling Prize was first awarded in 1993, and it continues to recognize work that provokes and contributes to the understanding of controversy, while presenting new ways of looking at the world and challenging complacency.

SFU PROFESSOR BRIDGES POLICY AND CO2 CONVERSION TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE
