Description

CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:

Examines themes in the development of the western portions of North America, their incorporation into nation states, and the tensions between local, regional, and national systems during the last two centuries. Themes will include race, ethnicity, class labor, capital, and environment. Students with credit for HIST 391 in Fall 2005 may not take this course for further credit.
