Global Health with Justice: equity centered research and practice

What is global health and what would global health with justice look like? What challenges need to be addressed to achieve more equitable and just health outcomes globally? Who are the main actors and what roles do they play in global health governance? What can/should be done to address the systemic, inherently global issues that impact peoples’ health everywhere? New global partnerships, community engagement, ethical research and practice – could they help decolonize global health? Global pandemics, planetary health, global health systems, health workforce shortages and maldistribution – these are some of the topics explored, discussed, and critically analysed in this 2nd year, fully online course.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY: YOUR WORK, YOUR SUCCESS

SFU’s Academic Integrity website http://www.sfu.ca/students/academicintegrity.html is filled with information on what is meant by academic dishonesty, where you can find resources to help with your studies and the consequences of cheating. Check out the site for more information and videos that help explain the issues in plain English.

Each student is responsible for his or her conduct as it affects the university community. Academic dishonesty, in whatever form, is ultimately destructive of the values of the university. Furthermore, it is unfair and discouraging to the majority of students who pursue their studies honestly. Scholarly integrity is required of all members of the university. http://www.sfu.ca/policies/gazette/student/s10-01.html
