Maggie Duncan
Maggie is a PhD student in the Faculty of the Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and a student research assistant at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS under the supervision of Dr. Zabrina Brumme. Her PhD research seeks to better understand factors influencing HIV reservoir size and to improve upon the molecular techniques used to quantify the HIV reservoir
As an undergraduate, also in the Faculty of Health Sciences at SFU, she studied inhibitors of the influenza M2 viroporin under the supervision of Dr. Ian Tietjen and completed her Honours thesis on the role of the alternative lengthening of telomeres (ALT) in herpesvirus genome replication under the supervision of Dr. Masahiro Niikura.
