About Omri

Omri Haiven is a researcher and communicator based on unceded Salish territories in Vancouver, Canada. His Masters (M.A) project through the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University showed the capacity for BC and the rest of Canada to implement agrivoltaics. Omri has worked on frontline food security issues for the past 15 years, including running a farm, creating food cooperatives, helping to coordinate community food security programs and facilitating Indigenous-led food forests in Vancouver’s public parks.
