Welcome to the Vision Lab

The Simon Fraser University Vision Lab is located in the Psychology Department, and is coordinated by Dr. Richard Wright.

We study a number of different factors that affect the efficiency of visual processing. And an important one is attention.

If you're not paying attention to something, how well do you see it? Our research shows that, not only will you have more difficulty seeing it, but you may not even be aware of it. Paying attention is important for making sense of the world. And it is important for safety in industrial settings, on the highways, and in the workplace.
