For instructors
AI and teaching at SFU
Instructors can access guidance on AI and teaching at SFU, such as suggestions for integrating AI in assignments, on the Centre for Educational Excellence’s page on Generative AI and teaching.
Syllabus statements

Graduate student supervision
AI For Graduate Supervisors is a online, Canvas-based resource designed to helps graduate supervisors better understand the landscape of AI so that they can support graduate students to make informed decisions around their research. You can read more about this resource in a recent Graduate Studies article.
For students
Academic integrity
Students can access guidance on how to navigate AI in ways that uphold their academic integrity obligations on Student Services Using Generative AI page.
Ombudsperson
Students can also access advice about regulations, policies and procedures and strategies from SFU’s Ombudsperson. The Ombudsperson is an advocate for fairness for the benefit of all students and the university community as a whole.
