Knowledge Mobilization Hub
Simon Fraser University is committed to supporting researchers in sharing research findings with wider communities in meaningful ways. SFU's Knowledge Mobilization Hub provides services and support to all SFU researchers (faculty, students, post-doctoral fellows, and staff) across all campuses and faculties to do more with what they know.
What is knowledge mobilization?
An intentional approach to enhance the real-world impact of research through knowledge exchange between researchers and end-users, collaboratively building research, sharing findings, and engaging with research outputs and products.
Mission
Support and inspire the SFU research community to mobilize their work, foster collaboration, and create impact.
Vision
To enhance knowledge mobilization practice, maximizing the positive environmental, social, and economic impact of SFU research, and advance recognition of SFU as a leader in knowledge mobilization.

Collaborations
Agricultural Genomics Action Centre (AG-ACt)
SFU’s Dr. Battersby is co-leading AG-ACt, a knowledge mobilization and implementation hub with the University of Guelph and the Global Institute for Food Security at the University of Saskatchewan. AG-ACt aligns and supports knowledge mobilization strategies and activities of nine interdisciplinary challenge teams to bridge knowledge generation and implementation.
This unique and inspired approach to supporting knowledge to action is funded by Genome Canada as part of their Climate Smart Agriculture and Food systems program.
EDI and Knowledge Mobilization
Recognizing the interconnection of equity, diversity, and inclusion and knowledge mobilization, the KM Hub is piloting a specialist role that is supporting SFU’s three Canada Excellence Research Chairs. Bringing an EDI lens to all aspects of knowledge mobilization and vice versa has the potential to expand the positive impact of the EDI and KM activities of these three researchers and beyond.
This role will ensure that research leaders at SFU are creating inclusive research environments that will drive innovative solutions to effect positive change in our local and global communities.
