  • Ashley Tegart is an MSc candidate in GIScience supervised by Dr. Schuurman. Her focus is on environmental correlates related to runnability and she is engaged with two projects. The first is a Runnability Scoping Review to determine all runnability correlates in the published academic literature. The second project is to conduct environmental scans of the most popular running segments on Strava in Metro Vancouver.

  • Irina Lipnitskaya is an MSc candidate supervised by Dr. Schuurman. Her research interests include Geography, G.I.S., E.D.I. & Local projects driven by Indigenous Epistemologies and Pedagogies. In her free time, she volunteers for the Burnaby Lake Park Assciation, to plant endemic species as well as remove invase plants, in order to help the restoration of our natural environemnts, critical places to promote physical activity such as running and cycling.
