Room Restrictions:

  • This room is generally reserved for the Dean's office staff. However, external bookings are permitted within two days of the proposed meeting date.
  • The wireless mouse and keyboard are kept in the room, but all other items (laptop cables, adaptors, remotes) are kept at the Dean of Science reception desk.

BPK:

Room restrictions:

  • The two rooms are divided by a sound proof door that can open up and become one large room seating 30 people. However, K9624 is almost always booked and so we can only share K9622.
  • BPK department members can view and book BPK rooms themselves online, external bookings can be done by BPK office staff - email bpkasst@sfu.ca or call 23573.
  • Office staff will book non-BPK events up to 72 business hours in advance.  
  • Thesis defenses, departmental seminars and departmental meetings have first priority and other events are subject to moving or bumping, but as these are usually booked long in advance, it's not likely short-notice bookings would be affected.
  • No external recurring bookings (e.g. grad courses, lab meetings, etc.).
  • Not used for courses or office hours
  • All rooms available Monday-Friday from 8:30 to 4:30, but must be vacated by 4:30PM.
  • 10 min "no-show" rule, ie. if the group who booked the room does not arrive within 10 mins past the start time, then the room is considered free.
  • Leave it as you found it.  You can bring food, but discard garbage, don't leave plates, food, etc.
