Gendering the Global War on Terror GSWS 336 (4)

An examination of the global war on terror as it impacts southwest Asia and its everyday people. A feminist de/postcolonial approach to issues of security, colonial legacies, violence in the international system. The course challenges the dominant knowledges the War is founded upon and continues to reproduce in the present. Prerequisite: 30 units including three units in GSWS. Students with credit for GSWS 318 under the title "Gendering War on Terror" or GSWS 319 under the title "Global War on Terror" may not take this course for further credit.
