Political Sociology (S) SA 325 (4)

An examination of sociological perspectives on power, conflict, and authority. The course will examine theories related to states, nationalism, culture, and ideology. Topics to be covered may include: state formation; revolutions; Indigenous politics; political knowledge and technology; colonialism, racism, and fascism; and the politics of elites. Prerequisite: SA 101 or 150 or 201W.
