Travel/Expense Grants
If tradeswomen are not able to obtain funding from other sources to attend the conference, they are welcome to apply to the conference committee for a grant to cover their travel and/or related costs, on a reimbursement basis.
Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis but priority will be given to women outside the Lower Mainland. Successful applicants may not receive the full amount requested.
To apply for a travel/expense grant, please send an e-mail, headed 'Travel/Expense Grant Application', and containing the following information, to rwwchair@sfu.ca:
- name, address, phone number, email address
- a statement confirming your inability to fund in whole or in part from other sources, your travel and related expenses
- a brief description of why you want to attend the conference and confirming that you will attend the entire conference
- a statement of any personal and/or professional benefits you may gain from attending this conference
