Competition Info

SFU's Next Top Product has been developed by the SFU Bookstore, in partnership with SFU Venture Connection. The competition is made up of three stages: application, video pitch, and finals presentation. Teams will create a 5-minute video to pitch their product, with a selection of teams moving to the finals. See below for video pitch information including judging criteria and submission instruction.

These teams will present to a panel of experienced judges who will select one product as the winner. Judging will be based on the original video pitch, final presentation, quality of the product and an overall relevance to the SFU Bookstore's market.

Upon being selected as the winning product, SFU Bookstore will place an initial order of a minimum of $500 worth of product. The winners will also receive:

  • Promotion and exposure in all three Bookstore locations and the Bookstore online store
  • Potential further exposure of the product through SFU media and beyond
  • Professional product photography

All teams in the final will receive a gift card to the SFU Bookstore.
