Welcome!

I am an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Economics at Simon Fraser University.

I taught economics at Simon Fraser University during 1995-2022. Before that I was a faculty member at the University of Alberta (1986-1995) and Yale University (1980-1986). My Ph.D. in economics is from the University of Michigan (1981).

Although I am now retired from teaching, I continue to engage in research. My main interests are economic prehistory, labor-managed firms, microeconomic theory, and institutions.
