"Network and Protocol (re)Design in the Age of Routine Attacks, Backdoors and Gov. Snooping," chaired by Mitchell Gusat. The panelists will analyze/debate the current state of Internet/Cloud networks's exposure to attacks and surveillance, in the light of

  1. Users' expectations wrt. Privacy, Performance, Neutrality and Security;
  2. Operator/Vendor's double challenge/opportunity of SDN and NFV.
Solutions, positions and proposals will encompass emerging new designs, architectures, protocols, possibly based on SDN, NFV and OF and new generations of more robust, flexible and transparent networks. Academic and industry experts are expected to engage the audience in a lively debate about the trends and forces shaping the networking research.
