Get to know the future bag
The Future Bag is a multi-purpose bag created from recycled pieces of fabric stitched together. It symbolizes our initiative to step away from plastic and other materials that require tremendous amounts of energy and resources to discard, or materials that end up in landfills.
We gathered used or unwanted clothing from friends and family, and cut out square pieces of various sizes. We pinned together pieces of various colours and textures, and then sewed them together. The handles of the bag were sewed and attached at the end.
Why it matters
This bag is made out of 100% recycled materials to reduce waste. It represents our efforts to encourage people to step away from using plastic bags through its unique design and colours. The Future Bag also embodies the goal of zero waste going to landfills by 2020, and the idea of one planet living at large, which means we cut down on our ecological footprints to ensure the well-being of our planet.

If you would like your own Future Bag, please visit your local grocery stores where we will be giving out the bags.
We will also be holding clothing donation campaigns to collect used or unwanted clothing throughout summer at various locations around Vancouver. If you are interested in donating, or joining our team to produce Future Bags, please feel free to contact us at futurebag@gmail.ca.
