The key dates and important milestones you need to get to SFU

Explore our programs
When you apply for admission to SFU, you can apply to your first- and second-choice faculty and program. Check out our Departments and Programs on the FASS website. The SFU Undergraduate Admission website also has descriptions and career information for all the university’s programs.

Check your requirements
Admission requirements vary depending on the program you’re applying to, where you’re currently studying and what curriculum you’re studying. The SFU Admission website lists the specific requirements for all programs across a variety of curricula. You’ll also find admission information for Indigenous and International Baccalaureate students.

Submit your application
Most students start at SFU in the fall term (September), but you can apply to start in the spring (January) or summer term (May). High school students can submit applications for September 2027 starting October 1, 2026. The application period closes on January 31, 2027.
