Author Outage update

For the past several days, AEM's Author server has had unpredictable, periodic outages, generally starting mid-morning and happening throughout the working day. 

IT Services Staff has investigated and isolated a portion of the issue, but not yet the root cause. 

At this time, the AEM Author server is:

  1. No longer crashing repeatedly
  2. Still operating much more slowly than normal

You may see that Content Finder may take up to a minute to load. If you are doing text/component editing on a page, page editing is typically possible before the Content Finder completely loads.

Content Finder is only needed for managing media such as images and adding them to pages. It is not needed for text editing or manipulating images and other media objects that are already included on a page. 

IT Services continues to work on identifying the root cause of the issue.
