Biography

Dr. Pollard is Research and Implementation Scientist for Fraser Health, British Columbia’s largest regional health authority. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Science in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University, and a PhD in Population and Public Health from the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Pollard uses mixed methods approaches to evaluate precision medicine innovations from the perspectives of publicly funded health system payers, clinicians, patients, and publics. Her work supports the appropriate, timely, and values-informed integration of precision medicine across Canadian health systems.

As an emerging leader in mixed methods evaluation, Dr. Pollard serves as co-investigator on the Canadian Network for Learning Healthcare Systems and Cost-Effective ‘Omics Innovations (CLEO), the Precision Oncology Evidence Development in Cancer Treatment (PREDiCT) program, and a member of the Terry Fox Research Institute Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network’s (TFRI MOHCCN) Health Technology Assessment Working Group. In addition, Dr. Pollard is a convener for Research and International Collaboration for the International Health Economics Association’s Economics of Genomics and Precision Medicine Special Interest Group.
