GIS Project: The Potentials for Environmentally Impacted Area in Fulton County |
|---|
| Introduction:
As North America's society advance, the population increases dramatically. To maintain and improve the current quality of living, more waste products have been produced. These products can be NOx which is produced by burning fossil fuel in vehicle, and thermal pollution which is produced by creating electricity, and toxic chemical which is produced by chemical plants. These by-product emissions damage the surrounding environment. The study area is in Fulton County, USA.
Fulton County is located at the north central portion of Georgia,
USA. This
county is selected because pollution affects the crowed population in the
area. This
project is to estimate the potential areas that are damage by pollution.
And these pollutants are produced from varies sources.
Eight major themes will be considered in result.
The result will be divided in three different
categories.
The categories are long-term impact, immediate impact, and air
emission impact by pollution. The
results from this project allows us to see the possible impacted area
where resources needed to be concentrated. Many
environmental agencies will find the result useful.
