Zool Suleman

Biography
Zool Suleman is an advocate, writer, journalist and cultural collaborator. He is the co-founder and editor of Rungh Magazine, and the Executive Director of the Rungh Cultural Society (www.rungh.org ). Since the 1990s, Suleman has been involved in various capacities with the Canada Council for the Arts, Heritage Canada, the Province of British Columbia, and the City of Vancouver. In addition to his work in arts and culture, Suleman is a lawyer and Executive Director, for research and advocacy, at the MARU Society, which aims to stop racial profiling and Islamophobia (www.stopislamophobia.ca ) in Canada. His advocacy and civic engagements, have been awarded by the City of Vancouver and the Attorney General of British Columbia.
