Pesk'a program
SFU welcomed aboriginal students with two distinctive programs in 2005. The month-long Pesk’a program at SFU Burnaby invited promising aboriginal students to explore their academic and leadership potential under the mentorship of aboriginal role models in a campus setting. SFU Surrey hosted a week-long university preparation program aimed at helping aboriginal students develop the academic and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in a university environment.
