The diverse and intriguing relationship between language and society where culture and context also come into play, is something that fascinates me. The ways language is used to convey social meaning can be expressed on all levels of linguistic analysis and can be found in various contexts and settings. For me, all that is an everyday exploration, and the sociolinguistic reading group is an excellent ground to share the benefits and insights I get from readings and personal experience.
