SFU's 2022-2025 Strategic Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (V3 2023)
The plan consists of six goals and 18 actions to guide the institution until 2025, mobilizing the entire institution to embed climate action throughout its operations, research, academics and community engagement.
SFU Greenhouse Gas Inventory
SFU has been reporting on our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions footprint since 2010. SFU's GHG Inventory includes a full accounting of value-chain emission sources, including scope 3 emissions.
SFU Climate Change Risk Assessment
In 2021, SFU concluded a multi-year assessment and community consultation on climate risks and mitigations. The report has since been validated post-COVID-19 and is in active use by the relaunched SFU Climate Resilience Steering Committee.
2022-2023 Annual Report
The 2022-23 Annual Report includes selected highlights from each portfolio at SFU, curated by the ESCAA CoP and coordinated by the central SFU Sustainability team.
Climate Change Accountability Reports
As part of B.C.'s carbon neutral public sector, SFU is required to submit a Climate Change Accountability Report to the B.C. Climate Action Secretariat (Ministry of Environment) and the B.C. Ministry of Advanced Education. These reports summarize SFU's annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the government-mandated reporting areas.

A compact snapshot of sustainability achievements at SFU, the report focuses primarily on progress and highlights from learning and teaching, research, people equity and inclusion, external and community engagement and operations.
2020 ANNUAL SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
A compact snapshot of sustainability achievements at SFU, the 2020 report focuses primarily on the implementation of the original SFU 2020-2025 Sustainability Plan. Future reports will include related initiatives, such as the Climate Resilience Planning and Implementation process, and SFU's work on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
SFU 2020-2025 Sustainability Plan
After an extensive, multi-year consultation process, the original co-designed SFU 2020-2025 Sustainability Plan was approved by the SFU Board of Governors and Executive Team in 2020. This Plan guided SFU until September 2022, when the refreshed SFU's 2022-2025 Strategic Sustainability and Climate Action Plan was published.
