>
>BCHydro developed this Oracle based distribution system which operates
>on Internet technology and puts a user only five mouse clicks and a few
>keystrokes from an MSDS sheet at any location in BC. This systems works
>well, and lets a user retreive an MSDS by simply inputting part of the
>product name, use, manufacturer, CAS numbers, etc. Twelve fields of an
>MSDS are indexed on, and CAS number searches are available. Anyone can
>use the system with only a few minutes training. TDG information has
>lately been added to the facility.
>
>BCHydro sells this product, which a buyer then uses to add his own MSDS
>to, by appending the 6,000 MSDS included with the product, or deleting
>those not needed.
>
>To assist universities, the Intranet version of the program is available
>for $250 Canadian. To industrial users and others, the program sells
>for $2,800 Canadian, still a considerable bargain.
