CRITIQUE 2 Team 7 | Snow Planet Click Here to Visit their site By first reading the script, I was able to clearly understand the concept of your project right away. Specially, I like how you have incorporated a diagram showing the interaction between the scenes (although if you included pictures rather than just labels would have provided us with a better visual representation). From the nature of the story, it seems that your project is targeting a younger age group and if that is the case then I recommend researching and brainstorming on the look of your characters further. The audience will be a lot more engaged in your story if you have interesting and unique looking characters. After looking at your storyboard, I was slightly confused because the changes from scene to scene are very abstract and the idea of the character investigating why he is on planet like this is lost. Rather, he seems to be having fun & just randomly doing things. Its take on a feel of a game for me rather than an interactive space. You might want to try to add more story into each scene and cut down on the types of scenes you have right now. The intro video you have about his crash landing is well done. The only suggestion would be to make the ending of it more clear. Right now we see the robot standing but maybe if we get a glimpse of the robot on the ground with maybe the ship destroyed in the background, would provide a better visual cue that he has crashed on a planet. I like the variation in the interaction which will keep the audience engaged. As mentioned earlier, if you are going for a younger audience then the use of exaggerated sound effects will be very important to enhance your scenes. I like the idea of the souvenirs, its a unique but I am hoping that someone in your teach really has the programming skills to pull off the type of interaction you are going for. I presume the container for the interactive space is Flash. The project seems to be complex even though its a light story. You have a fair amount of 3D modeling (characters) and creating the interaction in Flash could take some time to do. Project organization & clearly outlining the roles of your team members will be crucial to having this project come alive. I am looking forward to seeing your project since our team is also working on an interactive space. Best of Luck : )
