Carley Termeer, Research Assistant        

Carley Termeer is a student in the Master's of Resource Management (Planning) program in the School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM) at SFU. Her research interests include policies and regulatory mechanisms that support nature-based solutions and conservation in communities. Carley previously completed a Bachelor of Science with Distinction, Major in Biological Sciences and Minor in Arts Psychology from the University of Alberta and a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary. Carley then worked as a lawyer for eight years, primarily in the areas of family law and wills & estates, before pivoting to her studies at SFU. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, birding, reading, writing fiction, and fossil hunting.
