Lisa Cyr

Throughout the course of my life, I have always sought out meaningful work. Like many who enter this field, my path has not been linear, but the common theme of it has always linked back to social wellbeing and empowerment.  After over a decade of communications and advocacy work, my work in recent years has shifted to project coordination and social planning. Currently, I am involved in Revelstoke's local poverty reduction initiative as well as educating and raising awareness around issues such as abuse, domestic violence, elder abuse and healthy relationships for the Revelstoke Women's Shelter. I studied International and Community Development at Université Laval, and also holds a Master's degree in Intercultural Communication. I am passionate about breaking down the barriers that stand in the way of making this world a place where all beings can thrive.
