Yves was born in France, grew up in rural Southern Germany, and came to Canada in 2020 after having worked and studied in the United States for the better part of his adult life. He has undergraduate degrees in Economics and Interdisciplinary South Asian Studies from the University of Georgia, and MBAs from Tulane University and Germany’s ESB Business School. In a previous life Yves spent ten years as a corporate finance professional focused on strategic advisory and large financings involving a variety of North American energy infrastructure assets. He remains deeply committed to better understanding and improving our complex and interconnected energy systems, and he has embarked on this career pivot to acquire the tools and knowledge of a professional planner. Yves has extensive international travel and immersion experience, and he is passionately interested in urban communities across different geographies and cultural contexts. Yves is a proud dad to two young girls who keep him and his spouse busy and engaged. In his free time, Yves enjoys running, hiking, paddling, skiing, and reading.
