About the Faculty

Technology Leaders Start Here

In the Faculty of Applied Sciences, we are shaping tomorrow’s technology leaders in computing science and engineering. We offer challenging areas of study complemented by unique learning experiences to foster a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, professional growth and leadership ability.

Today, we have more than 4,000 undergraduate and 600 graduate students in the Schools of Computing Science, Engineering ScienceMechatronic Systems Engineering and Sustainable Energy Engineering.

Creating Opportunities Through Partnerships

While our students develop their core technical skills, they also engage in broader learning experiences to build leadership and professional skills. The Faculty of Applied Sciences collaborates with SFU faculties and schools on campus, overseas universities, and local and international industry partners.
