Our Role: Develop an understanding of areas with reduced child playability within the City of Surrey, which have low playability in terms of parents’ perception of child safety to aid in community planning.
Intended Audience: Dr. Mariana Brussoni, Dr. Nadine Schuurrman, Marco Jorge, City Planners, parents throughout Metro Vancouver, and lastly, various other communities within and outside of British Columbia who are interested in comprehending parent’s perception of safety.

Mansoureh Rameshk is in Computing Science program with a major of Geographic Information Science. She will be graduating by Spring 2017 with a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Certificate in Spatial Information Systems from Simon Fraser University.
Nedene De Guzman is currently a student in Physical Geography at Simon Fraser University. She will be graduating by Spring 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and Spatial Information Systems with the Spatial Information Systems Certificate. Her study interests are with Urban Studies.
Amrit Parmar is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Geography and is also completing studies in Spatial Information Systems at Simon Fraser University. She will be graduating in Summer 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in geography along with the Spatial Information Systems Certificate. Her geography interests analyze the relationship of the society with the environment.
Naina Mehta is in the course of finishing her undergraduate studies as a Geography major, Criminology minor and she is also enrolled in the Spatial Information Systems Certificate. Naina has a passion for teaching and cartography; she will be graduating in Summer 2017.
