Oral Cancer, Socioeconomic Status, and Access to Health Care in BC
The BC Cancer Agency operates six regional cancer centres. These centres provide the following services for patients:
- Patient Assessment, Diagnostic and Therapy
Planning
- Radiation Therapy
- Chemotherapy Services
- Nursing Care
- Patient and Family Counselling
- Nutrition Counselling
- Pharmacy Services
- Pain and Symptom Control Service
- Teaching and Applied Research Activities
- Cancer Information Library
These regional centres are part of a network of community cancer centres and other cancer services and programs to ensure cancer patients and family members in BC are provided with support as close to home as possible.
