Kristina Henriksson – Faculty Associate with Beedie School of Business at SFU

Dr. Kristina Henriksson is a Faculty Associate with Beedie School of Business at SFU and the Co-Director of Co-Laboratorio Perú, where she works to strengthen cross-sector collaboration, learning and innovation —for more inclusive resilient solutions in resource sector governance, policies and industry practice. The Co-Lab works with private, public and civil society partners in Peru and Canada, embedding activities with local universities. She is a specialist in collaborative cross-cultural learning, inclusive and participatory engagement approaches, market-based community investment strategies, and responsible business practices.

An experienced program director, consultant and researcher, Kristina has engaged with organizations in the public and private sectors, including natural resources, banking, economic development, foreign affairs and energy. An entrepreneur, she also co-founded and grew EnglishforResearch.com, an online editing and technical writing company with customers at over 300 research and learning institutions globally.

Kristina received her PhD and MSc in international business from Lund University, Sweden. She has taught international human resources management in the SFU BBA program, been a scholar at Stanford University, and conducted research on global work practices at the World Bank in Washington, DC and country offices in Mexico, Kenya and South Africa.

Her current research is focused on inclusive governance, cross-sector partnering, the role of universities as development partners, and organizational learning at the interface of global business and local communities.
