The SFU Burnaby campus remains affected by yesterday's power outage, with buildings on campus relying on back-up generators to supply powe r. While BC Hydro works to restore power, non-core University operations remain suspended at this hour. IT Services continues to work to maintain essential online resources such as email and the SFU website, however many online applications remain affected. Safety and secu rity protection systems continue to operate, and Campus Security staff are on site to support the community and operations. Facilities Se rvices staff are on campus maintaining generators and critical infrastructure. BC Hydro estimates the power outage at SFU Burnaby may rema in in effect until this evening.

The Bennett Library is closed.

The Lorne Davies Complex is closed.

Limited food services is available in the Residence dining hall.

Those who find it necessary to attend campus should be cautious of debris on roadways and parking lots, and be aware of dimly lit areas in some parts of the campus. Any safety or security concerns should be brought to the attention of Campus Security at 778.782.4500.
