Getting Here
The Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology is located on the SFU Burnaby Campus and can be accessed through Saywell Atrium in the Northeast corner of the Academic Quadrangle (AQ).
Transit
- R5 Hastings St/SFU: Get off at SFU Transit Exchange and enter through Saywell Hall
- 143 Burquitlam/SFU: Get off at SFU Transit Exchange and enter through Saywell Hall
- 144 Metrotown/SFU: Get off at SFU Transit Exchange and enter through Saywell Hall
- 145 Production Way/SFU: Get off at SFU Transit Exchange and enter through Saywell Hall
- SkyTrain: The closest SkyTrain stations are Production Way-University and Burquitlam Stations.
Driving
Entry and Admission
Entry to the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology is always free. Booking is not required, unless attending for research or requesting a tour.
Visiting Guidelines
Food and drink
Please do not bring food into the Museum. Water and other covered drinks are permitted within the museum space.
Filming and Photography
Photography and filming without flash is permitted for personal use.
To utilize the space for any other photography or filming uses, please contact the Museum first.

In the museum
We welcome visitors to utilize our marked interactive stations. Please do not touch any of the other belongings on display.
To help protect the belongings we care for, only pencils are permitted in the Museum. We also request that extra large bags and wet umbrellas are left outside the Museum.
