Appreciation and opportunities for better transit in Metro Vancouver

In summer 2025, we gathered 90 multilingual transit users from Vancouver and Richmond gathered in small groups to talk about their transit experiences.
This what we heard report shares what riders appreciate most about transit, as well as opportunities to improve frequency, dependability and safety. Meeting basic standards is essential for making transit usable, but these conversations also push us to look beyond minimum expectations and imagine transit as a space that can offer comfort, belonging and even joy.
