Statistics in Everyday Life STAT 100 (3)

Should you trust media reports on statistics about climate change or the spread of a virus? How do advertisers use statistics to influence our thinking? Explore statistics in real-world applications (opinion polls, sports, lotteries, and investments). Designed for students from all backgrounds, with a focus on concepts, not technical calculations. Students may not obtain credit for STAT 100 if they have credit for - or are taking concurrently - any upper division STAT course. Quantitative.
