Terry Fox Committee

The Surrey Campus Terry Fox Committee helps promote the annual Terry Fox campaign. It consists of various positions that attend committee meetings and provide reports and updates to the Community Projects Coordinator. 

Positions include: 

The Community and Philanthropy Facilitator is responsible for approaching organizations for event donations and liaising with community groups to foster community participation at events. They review current fundraising strategies and provide input on all committee decisions. They also work productively with their fellow committee members to support the entire event. 

The Social Media Project Facilitator is responsible for planning and implementing a social media viral campaign to promote the Terry Fox Run. They identify resources that are needed to implement the project; liaise with different groups to generate interest; and promote the event through social media. They work collaboratively with their fellow committee members to support the event and provide input on all committee decisions. 

The Student Engagement Facilitator is responsible for identifying methods for connecting with the student population; determining resources needed to engage with students; and liaising with student groups to enhance student participation at the event. They work collaboratively with their fellow committee members to support the event and provided input on all committee decisions.
