Bio Buddies Mentor Program

The Bio-Buddies Peer Mentorship Program is a department-specific program open to incoming first-year science students who major in Biological Sciences. Students will be paired with senior students or recent alumni who share similar interests and educational goals. Mentees will have the opportunity to learn from their mentors about the programs they are in and the professors, projects, volunteer and student leadership opportunities in the Department of Biological Sciences and the Biology Student Society Society. Mentors will have a chance to share their experiences and knowledge, gain valuable volunteer experience, participate in a learning relationship, and obtain references for their volunteer commitment.

The goal of the program is to ease the transition for new students and create a sense of community, and connectedness to the Biological Sciences as well as to the Science communities.

The program runs from July to December.
