Writing and Learning Peer Educator
Writing and Learning Peer Educators help fellow SFU students improve their writing, study, note-taking and time management strategies, primarily through one-on-one peer advising sessions. They can earn internationally recognized tutoring certification from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
Writing and Learning Peers are part of the larger program of Peer Education. Peer Educators commit to volunteering for two (2) terms, however, these terms do not need to be consecutive if you are away for co-op, field school, etc. Your role as a Writing and Learning Peer has two components: the first is your role with the Student Learning Commons, and the second component relates to your personal development.
This position starts in the Fall 2021 term and is located at the Burnaby campus.
Location: 3rd Floor, Bennett Library (Burnaby); Room 3695 Podium Level (Surrey)
