As a part of my volunteer work with Anime Revolution, it was my responsibility to direct and edit a promotional video to introduce the major guests of the convention.

This was one of the biggest projects I produced as it features 20 different actors. My team spent 2 months planning the video and 3 days to film. During the shoots, I gave directions to our camera operators and actors to successfully capture the most desirable shots.
The main concept of the video is a showdown between two opposing parties in a hyper-futuristic reality. I used a combination of pink and blue special effects to provide a sense of surrealism and edge. The effects were created in After Effects using a combination of shape layers, distortion effects, and rotoscoping.
With two sets of camera footage over 3 days of filming, I studied the footage and pieced together the best shots for the video. All the footage was filmed at 60 fps and slowed down for a cinematic effect.
The video was played at the Opening Ceremonies of the convention with over 500 attendees present. The video not only served to introduce the major guests of the convention, but to energize the audience before the convention begins.
