What is (In)equity & Our Health?

Inequity between individuals; especially wealth inequity, impacts our health more than we realize. Lower-income individuals are more suspectible to health problems due to the costs of maintaining one's physical health.

Wealth inequity between people can also contribute to the mental instability of lower-income people. People that come from and live within lower-income households are more likely to experience mental health issues.

Health Insurance

Families across the city of Vancouver are confronted with expensive health insurance, which can eat away at their income. Households composed of one or two individual(s) typically pay less in health insurance.

Wealth Inequity and Mental Health

The people of Vancouver who are most suspectible to mental health issues are those who are of lower-income and/or grew up in lower-income areas where the hardship associated with financial limitations can result in trauma.

Our Response

Our response is to educate the general population of the city of Vancouver on the drivers of change as much as we can. Through our pop-up established in the city, we hope to draw consumers to our products and ultimately our message on the drivers of change.
