Cultivating a Cooperative Culture: Practical strategies for the classroom
FrancoFUN Week "J'enseigne en français" is back this summer! Simon Fraser University's Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA) is pleased to invite you to participate in a week of activities for teachers of and in French to develop your classroom practices!
Do you teach Core French, Intensive French or French immersion? Under the theme "Cultivating a cooperative culture: practical strategies for the classroom", you're invited to learn and share your experiences in a unique experiential learning context! Register early for your chance to take part in this week of French-language professional development that combines pedagogy, language, games and the great outdoors in the Vancouver area!
Each day will consist of pedagogical activities organized around the theme Cultivating a Cooperative Culture: Practical Strategies for the Classroom.
Learning objectives:
- Explore and innovate in the teaching of French: develop pedagogical practices within a framework of universal design for learning
- Explore the notion of teacher and learner identity
- Developing language and intercultural skills
- Develop a professional learning community with other members of the "J'enseigne en français" network
