On June 15, 2004, representatives from SFU and the local government joined Advanced Education Minister Shirley Bond to break ground for TASC I - the new Technology and Science Complex

This 9000 square metre, $23 million complex officially opened the doors to its new tenants from Computing Science, Earth Sciences and Resource Environmental Management on Tuesday, September 6, 2005.

Welcome to TASC 1!

TASC I is linked to SFU Burnaby through the Applied Sciences Building.

With TASC I as the new home to Computing Science faculty, graduate students and research laboratories, this will free up space for undergraduate students and Computing Science staff within the existing Applied Science Building. Renovations to the ASB Computing Science administrative office and the Computing Science Instructional Laboratories (CSIL) are scheduled to begin in Fall 2005.
